Open Letter from Nina Pinky Zimmerman.

Depression. Trauma. Borderline. Psychosis. Bipolar Disorder. Schizophrenia.

It might have happened to you. It might happen right now. Or it can happen every moment. To everyone. It could have been you instead of one of us. It sounds brutal, but that is the reality. The brutal reality we had to face.

In this exhibition we are showing our feelings in different moments and different moods, expressed in a more abstract way.

We all met in the Königliche Psychatrie in Munich, one of the best psychatric and psychotherapeutic clinics in Germany.

We started a collective community in there called 'Monopolar'. The idea is to bring people that suffer from mental illness together, to give them perspective in the clinic, but especially after the clinic. To create together and even more important: to support and protect each other. AND: to raise awareness .

This exhibition is the first time and way for us to go outside with our creations and show us to the public.

We have a lot more planned for the future, so stay tuned.

I am not alone. You are not alone.

We are in this together.
